Requirements / Qualifications

Description: Provide leadership for the Alliance for Arts Learning Leadership, in order to improve access to quality visual and performing arts learning and integration in K-12 schools. The specialist/coordinator responsibilities include: provide arts learning professional development to K-12 teachers, provide oversight to the Integrated Learning Specialist Program, Integrated Learning Summer Institute, the Teacher Action Research Initiative projects, the Bay Area Performance Assessment Network, and other projects as directed by the Executive Director of the Integrated Learning Department. Duties include project management, professional development design, coaching, and writing. Credential & Experience: - Valid California Administrative Services Credential (For Coordinator ONLY) - California clear single subject, or multiple subject credential - Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation - Expertise in arts learning, integration and relevant pedagogy - Expertise in facilitation, group learning and the use of thinking frames and protocols - At least 4 years experience in constructivist teaching and learning, arts learning and integration professional development and/ or teacher support - Expertise with Inquiry Approaches and Teacher Action Research - Program management experience of large collaborative projects - Technology Skills (Word, Excel, Presentation Software, Skype) - Educational coaching or mentoring experience highly desired - Master’s degree in the area of Education and/or Arts Education highly desired
