The San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD), the highest performing large urban school district in the state of California, is seeking a full-time Senior Clerk Typist for the Visual and Performing Arts Office (VAPA), located at 555 Portola Drive, San Francisco, CA 94131.
The Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) refers to the disciplines of visual arts, dance, drama/theatre, music and literary arts. The VAPA office administers arts programs for district schools and is a part of SFUSD’s Academic and Professional Development (APD) office that oversees teaching and learning along with the other academic subjects. Through the arts, students explore other cultures as well as their own, and teachers come to know the cultural world of their students.
This position is responsible for providing arts education programming and disseminating information to teachers and staff; entering pay-roll and verifying time; managing accounts payable, requisitions and payments; monitoring contracts and processing payments for consultants; record keeping such as budgets, rosters and providing updates to the department; preparing requisitions in PeopleSoft 8 such as Position Declaration Forms (PDF), Site Request for Personnel Actions (SRPA) and Request Position Funding (RPF); and supporting the supervisor with the quarterly Public Education Enrichment Fund (PEEF/Prop H) reports to the City and County of San Francisco.
