Special Education Tutor Job Description: In-Home Tutors are part of a cohesive team whose goal aims at improving the quality of life for children diagnosed with Autism. Tutors work one-on-one with children (ages Infant/Toddler-High School age) in their home or school environment, administering behavioral therapy in the form of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Discrete Trial Training (DTT) to improve the child's skills in various areas. Some of these areas include communication skills, self-help skills, and play skills. Tutors are supported through ongoing training and supervision by ABC's Behavior Consultants and Field Training Tutors. This is a respectable, entry-level position for those pursuing a career working with children. This position covers the Inland Empire as well as the San Gabriel Valley. We also have immediate openings in the San Fernando Valley! Base pay: $12-13/hr Compensation for drive time and mileage is provided to staff who it applies to.
