HELP WANTED! Teachers and Counselors!
Expanding charter high school seeks talented, experience professionals
to work with at-risk high school teens. Due to steady growth in
student enrollment, we have to hire faculty to fill four additional
positions. Qualified candidates demonstrate a commitment to social
justice, an understanding of urban poverty, and sincere interest in
working with disadvantaged youth. We are looking for seasoned teachers
who grasp the complexity of problems that confront urban youth. All
California public school teachers and counselors must hold valid
credentials in their respective area. If you do not have a credential,
please do not submit an application for employment. Our school

minority, female, gay/lesbian, disabled) strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidates MUST have experience in the classroom. Moreover, experience
working with at-risk youth a huge advantage. Serious candidates must

positions follow:
SCIENCE TEACHER: Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy
MATH TEACHER: Pre-Calculus, Algebra II, Geometry
ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS TEACHER: BCLAD, ESL --> Candidate MUST have
experience with second language acquisition theory. You will also
serve as the school's ESL coordinator.
SPECIAL EDUCTION RSP Teacher: Math & English Remediation
MSW and/or PPS Counselor, School Psychology and/or School K-12 Counseling: With at least two years experience to supervise interns.
PPS Interns: Guidance Counselors In-Training (Paid Internships!)

The work schedule is approximately 10 hours per week. Salary ranges from $20,000 - $24,000 yearly.
