The primary role of the Curriculum Training Specialist (CTS) is to support, educate and train customers on the use of Bio-Rad's Biotechnology Explorer educational products. The CTS will educate and guide customers on the use and implementation of these products in classrooms and teaching settings. The CTS position also acts as the Sales Representative for secondary education accounts, and provides application expertise to field sales for higher education accounts.
1. Lead and develop Biotechnology Explorer workshops, seminars, and on-site trainings including preparing materials, delivering presentations, and fielding customer questions on these presentations.
2. Provide primary account management for secondary education accounts (middle schools, high schools) by following up on sales leads, generating quotes, and facilitating order process.
3. Act as technical resource for field sales reps with college level education accounts.
4. Work with in-house marketing team to develop instructional and presentation materials to support teacher professional development programs.
The position will be based at headquarters (Hercules, CA) and requires 25-50% travel covering territories within the Western U.S. (Travel will be dependent on the time of year--Fall season has more travel).
Experience -
1. BS degree in molecular biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or equivalent work experience.
2. Minimum 3 years experience teaching high school or community college, preferably in life sciences or biotechnology. Sales experience a plus.
