The Position: Under direction of the site supervisor and teacher, assist in a variety of classroom activities for children ages two months through twelve years old in a child care program.  Assist in arranging room and play material to accommodate the daily schedule; assist in maintaining a neat, orderly and attractive learning environment.  Conduct appropriate individual and group activities; supervise and interact with children during classroom and play activities to ensure their safety and well being; some positions may attend to physical needs of the children such as diapering, feeding, and toileting.  Perform other duties as assigned. Traveling to different school sites within the District may be required.

The Vacancy: There are several openings at various sites for Kid’s Korner, the District’s Extended Daycare Program and Preschool Program and Vincent Children’s Center.  An eligibility list will also be established and used for future permanent, temporary, and substitute positions (from 2 to 3.75 hours per day). Positions may have a split assignment and various schedules during the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
