About Our School: Wings Learning Center is a school specifically created to address the education and therapeutic needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Qualified professionals work collaboratively, sharing their knowledge in an effort to address each students needs across all disciplines. The WLC staff is a knowledgeable group, all working within their field of expertise. Ongoing staff development, training and support distinguish WLC as a program that is progressive by keeping current on practices in the field of ASD. Job Description: A substitute teacher is responsible for providing instruction, managing the classroom environment, and promoting student learning along with the rest of the classroom team-in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Each classroom currently has 6 students and 3 staff members in addition to the teacher. School hours are from 8:30 -2:30 Monday through Thursday and from 8:30 – 12:00 on Friday. Wings currently offers a daily rate of $100/day (6 hours, M-Th) and $70/day on Friday (4 hours).
