As a non-profit organization, Orange County Head Start, Inc., is dedicated to providing thousands of low-income children and their families with quality childhood development programs and integrated support services….right here in Orange County.

As a Center Director, you will be accountable for the organization and management of an entire Center.  Key responsibilities include: The planning and implementation of programs and activities to ensure compliance with regulations and the supervision and coaching of teaching and support staff to ensure their success and development. Candidates for this position must be able to interface and work with parents and volunteers in a positive manner.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education requirements: The minimum requirements are an Associate Degree or 60 units with 24 units of ECE/CD including core courses and 6 units of administration and 3 units of infant/toddler specialization. Candidates with a BA degree and Bilingual Spanish are preferred. Applicants must also hold a valid Child Development Teacher Permit. A Master Teacher or Site Supervisor Permit is a plus. Experience: A minimum of four years experience in an Early Childhood or Head Start Program and one to two years of experience supervising teaching staff.
