Kaplan, Inc. is one of the world’s leading educational organizations, with almost 70 years of experience in building futures. The Kaplan K12 Learning Services division recently forged important alliances with many California public schools; we now provide FREE, high-quality instructional programs to thousands of underserved students each year. Kaplan K12 places talented instructors into classrooms to teach valuable Math and English Language Arts lessons. Our curriculum is specifically designed to reinforce foundational skills and bolster assessment performance. The Kaplan K12 Academic Instructor provides supplementary math and ELA instruction to students with high needs in classroom settings. We are looking for Instructors with a passion for teaching and the determination to help students succeed. Qualifications for Academic Instructors include: • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills • Experience teaching school-aged children in a classroom or one-on-one setting • High energy and a sincere desire to improve young lives • The ability to maintain a productive, high-performing learning environment with effective classroom and group management strategies Foreign language skills such as Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese a plus! Programs start in the beginning of January through April. Training will be conducted in November and December.
