Music Accompanist will under general supervision, play required music for student choir rehearsals and performances and do related work as may be required.
Ability to:
Play music accompaniment.
Read music.
Operate necessary equipment for recording and playback.
Transpose music from one key to another with ease.
Relate to the appropritate age level of student served.
Work effectively with adults.
Assist in classroom control.
Experience and Education:
High school diploma required.
Demostrated ability to perform.
Essential Functions of this position.
1. Accompany students during choir rehearsals.
2. Accmpany students during performances.
3. Tours with choirs and small groups.
4. Maintains an organized music folder.
5. Assists the choir director as needed.
6. Maintains puctuality.
Requirements / Qualifications
DINUBA HIGH SCHOOL/ 3 HOURS 10 MONTHS 7:30 A.M. - 04:30 P.M. CLASSIFIED SALARY SCHEDULE RANGE 22 Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 $13.09 $13.75 $14.43 $15.16 $15.91 QUALIFICATION 1. High school diploma required. 2. Four years private piano study preferred. 3. Experience accompanying choirs. 4. Required to pass District piano performance. 5. Some evening performances will be required. 6. Ability to communicate in Spanish is desirable.
