Since l958 University College of Chapman University has been a leader in offering working adults personalized and practical educational opportunities. Combining theory with practice, University College Faculty provides students with learning experiences that are immediately transferable to the workplace. University College offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree and credential programs at 25 campuses in California and Washington.
Responsibilities of University College Faculty include curriculum oversight; hiring, mentoring, and managing adjunct faculty; student mentoring; class scheduling; and university service and committee work. Research is not required but is supported.
The successful candidates for the faculty positions will possess an earned doctorate with higher education teaching experience and a commitment to working with adult students. Experience with distance learning and academic technology preferred. Three years of K-12 public school teaching experience is recommended for Education Faculty positions. Psychology Faculty must have an earned doctorate in Psychology or Marriage Family Therapy with the appropriate state licensing. All University College Faculty positions are non-tenure track.
Full-time positions offer competitive salaries and are effective August 2009.
