Job Summary

The School-Based Occupational Therapist plans and provides occupational therapy assessment, consultation and treatment for MRA students with disabilities who qualify for OT as a related service under their Individualized Education Program (IEP). Most direct services are delivered through a hybrid model: in-person sessions at MRA campuses and teletherapy sessions delivered through a secure video platform, with in-person assessment when a student’s needs call for it. The OT works from a home base in Colton or Victorville and travels to campuses across MRA’s three-county service area. The role functions as part of a multidisciplinary team with teachers, special education staff, families and outside providers, and is responsible for distinguishing educationally necessary OT from medically necessary OT and making referrals accordingly.
