JOB SUMMARY: Learning Support Staff will facilitate STEAM-related activities and workshops and provide homework support for students in grades 7-12. This position will be responsible for facilitating enrichment club activities as well as assisting and monitoring students who are working on homework and school-related projects. In addition, this position requires one to work closely with the instructional team on all activities that include or impact student programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Curriculum & Instruction • Facilitate 1–2 enrichment clubs per session with guidance from Learning Facilitators. • Monitor and assist students during after-school and Academic Support times. • Facilitate occasional Saturday workshops. • Support special events (set-up/clean-up, supervision, activity facilitation). • Assist Learning Facilitators during program hours as needed. • Create an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes curiosity and exploration. Assessment & Feedback • Support data collection, including attendance and survey administration. Collaboration & Engagement • Collaborate with Learning Facilitators to deliver STEAM enrichment activities. • Work with the team to provide individual and group homework support. • Assist with student supervision, arrival/dismissal, and front desk duties as needed. • Build positive relationships with students, families, and the Learning Lab community. • Participate in professional development to stay current with STEAM education practices. • Engage in coaching and classroom observations for continuous improvement. • Assist with student recruitment at schools and community events. • Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
