Job Summary
The job of Classified Substitute is done for the purpose of supporting school and district operations by temporarily performing the essential duties of one or more classified positions during employee absences. Classified Substitutes provide continuity of services across a variety of assignments, which may include assisting in the supervision and instruction of special education students; supporting food service operations; performing entry-level clerical tasks; and transporting students or other passengers in district vehicles. Work is performed under direct supervision and in accordance with established procedures to ensure the safety, well-being, and effective support of students, staff, and school programs.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: *Education Required: High School Diploma or GED *Experience Required: Prior job-related experience in area of interest *Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: Skills to use English in both written and verbal form, use correct grammar, punctuation and spelling. Valid California Driver License is required for all driving positions. YOU MUST HAVE A VALID EMAIL ADDRESS. Please check your email regularly or you may miss important communications regarding testing and/or interviews.
Completion of a proficiency test, with a passing result, is required. The test will be emailed to you. Mandated reporter and other trainings must be completed prior to employment. The trainings will be emailed to you. Offer of employment contingent on fingerprint clearance, negative drug screen, and TB test. Clearances will be completed at the Job Fair. Please bring your ID and Social Security Card to the Job Fair.
