Job Summary
Under the direction, guidance and supervision of the Transportation Supervisor, the School Bus Driver will transport students, including those designated as Special Needs Students, safely from designated bus/van stops, field trips and other sites as approved by Sacramento Valley Charter School administration and the Transportation Supervisor. The employee in this position may drive a School Bus or a School Van.

BE ABLE TO COMPLETE AND PASS THE FOLLOWING: 1) California School Bus Driver Training Program 2) 20-Hour minimum classroom training course for school bus drivers 3) 20-Hour minimum Behind-the-Wheel Training 4) Pass a Drive Test with the California Highway Patrol DMV REQUIREMENTS: 1) Pass Class C, B, Air Brakes, & Passenger Endorsement 2) Pass General Knowledge Written Exams CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL REQUIRMENTS: 1) Pass Rules & Regulations Written Exam 2) Pass First Aid Written Exam 3) Pass Drive Test with the California Highway Patrol 4) DL-51: Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical Exam to Drive a Commercial Vehicle
