Job Summary
The Substitute Teacher is responsible for the well-being and safety of the students, taking attendance, maintaining a functioning classroom, utilizing classroom management skills, leaving a clean classroom, and teaching the provided curriculum. Please note if you do not have a Credential or a 30-Day Sub Permit, you will need to apply for your 30-Day Sub Permit through the County (VCOE) and that process can take up to 6 weeks or you can apply directly through California Commission on Teacher Credentialing but that process can take up to 11 weeks.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Upon offer of employment: Per Immigration Reform & Control Act of 1986, if you are hired, proof of American Citizenship or right to work in the United States will be required. All persons chosen for appointment are fingerprinted to check for and/or verify conviction records. Employment is contingent upon showing freedom from TB by taking an intradermal tuberculin test, chest x-ray or examination.
