Paradise Unified School District is seeking a dedicated Independent Facilitation Assistant (IFA) to provide individualized, one-on-one support to a student with special education needs at Pine Ridge School. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a student's educational journey by helping them build confidence, develop independence, and experience success in the classroom and beyond. About the Position The Independent Facilitation Assistant works under the direction of certificated staff to provide individualized instructional, behavioral, and social-emotional support to an assigned student. The ideal candidate is flexible, encouraging, attentive to student needs, and committed to creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized 1:1 instructional and behavioral support to an assigned student. Assist with classroom activities, academic assignments, and implementation of instructional strategies. Support student independence, engagement, and participation in the educational environment. Assist with implementing behavior support strategies as directed by certificated staff. Supervise and support the student during classroom activities, transitions, recess, and other school activities. Maintain a patient, positive, and respectful approach when responding to student needs. Observe and communicate student progress, challenges, and concerns to appropriate staff. Maintain confidentiality of student information and educational records. Follow all District policies and procedures related to student safety and welfare. Minimum Qualifications Education and Training High school diploma or equivalent. Requirements / Qualifications
Selection and Hiring Process Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be invited to take the Instructional Paraprofessional Assessment in person at the Paradise Unified School District Office. Candidates who achieve a passing score of 70% or higher will be invited to participate in an interview. Complete Application Requirements Applicants must submit a fully completed EdJoin application, including the entire job history section. A résumé does not replace the requirement to complete the job history section. The following documents are required: Current résumé Letter of Introduction Three (3) letters of recommendation dated within the last year Current CPR/First Aid Certificate or will be required to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification within probationary period (not paid by the District)
