WE'RE HIRING! BUS DRIVER/INSTRUCTOR Paradise Unified School District | Transportation Department Great transportation departments don't just move buses. They move students safely, support drivers, solve problems, and keep an entire school district moving! Paradise Unified School District is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and team-oriented Bus Driver/Instructor who brings more than excellent driving skills to the table. We're seeking someone who enjoys training and mentoring drivers, understands the complexities of transportation operations, and can help keep things running smoothly when schedules change, routes need adjusting, or unexpected challenges arise. We're especially interested in candidates who have experience with transportation dispatching, route planning, and daily operational coordination—ideally in a school transportation environment. WHAT YOU'LL DO Train, coach, and evaluate school bus drivers through classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction. Help ensure drivers meet California certification, safety, and training requirements. Maintain accurate training, certification, and compliance records. Support safe and effective transportation operations. Collaborate with transportation personnel to troubleshoot daily operational challenges. Drive regular routes and field trips as assigned. Contribute to a transportation team that values safety, communication, professionalism, and continuous improvement. EXPERIENCE WE'D LOVE TO SEE In addition to a strong background in school bus operations and driver training, experience in any of the following areas is highly desirable: Transportation dispatching and daily driver coordination. Developing, managing, or adjusting transportation routes. Coordinating driver assignments, route coverage, and scheduling. Responding to last-minute transportation changes and service disruptions. Using transportation routing, scheduling, or dispatch software.
