Strategic Kids is Hiring a Teacher Aide! Location: Mission Viejo to San Clemente Pay Rate: $21-$25 per hour Employment Type: Part-Time Schedule: 3-5 days per week, Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (3.5 - 6.5 hours per day) Overview We're hiring Teacher Aides to support K–12 students with disabilities in public and charter schools throughout South Orange County. You’ll work directly with students in classrooms 1:1 and in small groups helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities - Provide individualized support to students with special education needs. - Assist teachers with classroom management and activities. - Use positive reinforcement and structured behavior management. Must Have Requirements - At least 3 months of experience working or volunteering with children - Strong communication, patience, and positive reinforcement skills. - Ability to adapt to varying student needs and maintain composure under pressure. - High school diploma or equivalent (education students encouraged to apply). - CPR/First Aid certification (provided if needed). - Must successfully complete and clear a background check and Live Scan fingerprinting. - Must be 18 years or older Nice to Have - Students pursuing Education / Child development / Psychology coursework or degrees encouraged to apply - Experience in after-school programs, summer camps, tutoring, or youth mentoring - Bilingual communication skills Benefits - Sick and Safe Leave: You will accrue one hour for every 30 hours worked - CalSavers: State-sponsored 401(k) plan - State Disability Insurance - Workers' Compensation: Through State Fund - Cell Phone Reimbursement: $5 per month - New Hire Orientation: You will be paid to attend New Hire Orientation prior to working at your assigned location(s) - Meaningful work: Knowledge that what you’re doing is making a real impact!
