Requirements / Qualifications

Under the direction of a Program Director or assigned administrator, provide oral interpretation services for Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, communications with parents, and the public, and written translation of IEP’s, forms, reports, correspondence, and other instructional and educational materials in both English and a designated second language; organize office activities and coordinate flow of communications for the assigned administrator. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or equivalent and two years of experience assisting non-English speaking adults and children with translation services, both oral and written. Fluency and proficiency in both English and assigned second language. Certification as a Bilingual Interpreter and/or Translator desired. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license. Incumbents
