Requirements / Qualifications
In order to be considered, applicants must submit the following by the final filing date: Completed Ed-Join Application Resume Current Letters of Recommendation Minimum qualifications: Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent plus specialized training in one of the building trades (carpentry, painting, masonry, locksmith, or roofing) required. Minimum of two years of experience at the journey level in area of specialization required. Licenses and/or Certificates: TB Test clearance, Criminal Justice Fingerprint clearance, and valid Drivers license.
SUMMARY Provides a variety of skilled work in the maintenance, alteration and repair of facilities and buildings. Works primarily in a single area of specialization (carpentry, painting, masonry, locksmith, welding, or roofing), yet is capable of performing related work at this level of skill and assisting others in higher classifications. NATURE AND SCOPE Works under general supervision, to independently perform journey level work in an advanced building trade (electrical, certain HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems) requiring completion of a formal apprenticeship. Duties are primarily performed at the Journeyman level in area of specialization, but will also perform support duties in other trades as required. May supervise and assign work to Building Maintenance Workers or the maintenance staff. Work relationships extend beyond the peer group to District staff, outside contractors and experts and students. Requires strong communication skills to discuss complex technical information. Work may be outside in adverse weather conditions.

The District will contribute towards health benefits on a prorated basis (based on employee's work year and hours assigned). The benefit package includes options for medical, dental and vision. Medical plan options include Kaiser, Western Health Advantage and Sutter Health Plus.
$10,960 per year for Employee-only medical benefit selection.
$13,000 per year for Employee+1 or Family medical benefit selection.
