The Hebrew Academy of Orange County (HAOC) offers a dynamic dual curriculum in Judaic and General Studies for students in grades K–12. Our faculty work collaboratively to create an engaging, respectful, and academically supportive environment. Substitute teachers play an important role in maintaining continuity of instruction and supporting our school community. Successful substitute teachers demonstrate: Eligibility to serve as a substitute teacher in California; a valid California teaching credential is preferred. Experience working with school-aged children and strong classroom management skills. A flexible, professional, and student-centered approach. Ability to follow lesson plans, classroom procedures, and school policies. Reliability, adaptability, and a commitment to serving as a positive role model. Respect for and support of the school’s mission, values, and community. Responsibilities include: Providing instruction and supervision according to lesson plans and school policies. Maintaining a safe, structured, and respectful classroom environment. Supporting General and Judaic Studies classes as assigned. Taking attendance and completing routine classroom responsibilities. Communicating relevant student or classroom concerns to administration. Supervising students during transitions, recess, lunch, or dismissal as assigned. Performing other duties as requested by school administration.
Requirements / Qualifications
