Job Summary

Job Summary

The El Dorado County Office of Education received a grant from the Board of State and Community Corrections' Proposition 47 fund to reduce recidivism in justice-involved juveniles in California. The Program Lead serves as the primary facilitator between EDCOE and the grant partners. It will involve regular communication and collaboration with partners and researchers; data collection; budget and invoice monitoring; and reporting the grant's progress to the BSCC. This position will report to the Assistant Superintendent of Charter Alternative Programs. The grant is a three-year grant, and the County will partner with Air Tutors, United Way of San Joaquin County, and probation departments in El Dorado County and across the state. The program will start in El Dorado County with a small number of students. Once the processes and agreements are in place, EDCOE will partner with other county probation departments and county offices of education to offer the program in their counties. Air Tutors will provide diversion programming through high-dosage tutoring to increase age-based proficiencies in literacy, reading, and mathematics, thereby reducing recidivism rates. Wrap-around services will include mentoring, certificate and degree attainment, and workforce placement. Program Lead role responsibilities for open position: • Serve as the primary point of contact for county probation departments, Air Tutors, and the Stanford University research team • Assist in compiling and reporting data and information for grant deliverables • Project management through documentation and implementation of processes and plans • Tracking and reporting on tutoring schedules and implementation • Facilitate meetings by creating and sending agendas, taking minutes, and leading discussions • Ensure grant program leadership has the necessary information and data for meetings • Experience preferred: prior job-related program management or coordination experience
