Job Summary
The Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction and support to kindergarten students with mild to moderate disabilities in a co-teaching setting. The position involves developing and implementing standards-aligned instruction and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, monitoring student progress, supporting positive behavior and social-emotional development, and creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. The teacher collaborates with general education staff, administrators, families, and other service providers to meet individual student needs, maintain appropriate documentation, and promote student achievement, independence, and overall success.
