POSITION OVERVIEW: Under the general direction of the Online Principal, the Online Program Teacher provides high-quality, standards-based instruction in mathematics for scholars in a classical virtual learning environment. This educator is passionate about math education and skilled in creating engaging, interactive lessons that foster conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and confidence in mathematics.

Requirements / Qualifications

Belief in the Classical Education and Servant-leader model (see www.jaaonline.org) Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required). Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or Mathematics Education (preferred). Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in elementary grades, with a focus on mathematics. Experience in delivering instruction in an online or blended learning environment (preferred). Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including English Language Learners and scholars with special needs. Familiarity with digital learning platforms and virtual classroom management. Valid state teaching credential appropriate for elementary grades. Additional certification or training in mathematics instruction or online teaching (preferred).
