Job Summary
The special education teacher, under the supervision of the Director of Special Education and site Principal, provides a comprehensive educational program for educationally handicapped children. Maintains accurate and complete records on each student and assesses the progress of students on a regular basis. This position serves PreK-8th grade students within the Taft City School District.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: • Bachelor’s degree required. • Must possess (or be eligible for) a California credential authorizing the teaching of Special Education in a classroom serving students with Mild to Moderate Support Needs. Experience: • Previous teaching experience or successful student teaching. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice as well as a physical clearance are conditions of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
In addition to submitting the certificated application, qualified candidates should upload: • Three (3) letters of recommendation written within last three (3) years.

- Credential Copy (Or proof of eligibility)
- Letter of Introduction (Letter of interest)
