The San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Central Office Resource Teacher. This opportunity is open to all interested candidates. The 11 month Central Office Resource Teacher assigned to support the Early Learning Department is responsible for providing instructional, programmatic, and compliance support to California State Preschool Program (CSPP) classrooms and staff. This position serves as a resource to teachers, site administrators, and support staff to ensure high-quality implementation of preschool programs aligned with state requirements and district expectations.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Experience: Experience in the following is preferred, but not required: Working in a California State Preschool Program (CSPP) as a teacher, site administrator, or program administrator. Understanding of CSPP requirements, California Department of Education regulations, Community Care Licensing requirements, and developmentally appropriate practices for preschool-aged children. Coaching, mentoring, and professional development to teachers and support staff. Experience facilitating adult learning, supporting curriculum implementation, and guiding staff in the use of child assessment tools, such as the DRDP, is highly desirable. Planning and implementing family engagement activities and events; supporting inclusive early learning environments; monitoring program quality and compliance; analyzing program and assessment data; and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes for young children and families. Working in a preschool or early childhood education setting, including experience in program implementation, staff support, and family engagement. Licenses and Other Requirements: Valid California ECE Permit or Child Development Credential and Multiple Subject Credential or PK3 Credential by the closing date of the application deadline.
