Job Summary
Provides an instructional program for students who are identified as having a disability which impacts the student to the extent that he/she is unable to be appropriately served in a less restrictive environment. Provides specific remedial instruction and teaches students means of enhancing their strengths. Serves as a consultant to parents and staff in all areas related to the special day class program

Placement on the District's Certificated 185 day salary schedule. Placement is based on education level and full-time experience within a school setting and under a valid teaching license. Maximum incoming salary step placement is step 11 for new hires.
