Banta Unified School District is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and student-centered JV Boys Volleyball Coach for River Islands High School. The successful candidate will support the development of student-athletes while building a positive team culture that reflects the values and expectations of RIHS. The JV Boys Volleyball Coach is responsible for planning and conducting practices, teaching fundamental and advanced volleyball skills, developing teamwork and sportsmanship, supervising student-athletes, and coaching scheduled competitions. The coach will work collaboratively with the Varsity Head Coach and Athletic Director to support a consistent and successful boys volleyball program. Primary Responsibilities: Plan and conduct organized, developmentally appropriate practices. Teach volleyball fundamentals, techniques, strategies, and rules. Develop student-athletes' skills and prepare them for advancement within the RIHS volleyball program. Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, responsibility, and academic success. Provide appropriate supervision of student-athletes during practices, competitions, travel, and team activities. Work collaboratively with the Varsity Head Coach to maintain consistency throughout the boys volleyball program. Communicate professionally with student-athletes, parents, staff, officials, and opposing teams. Follow Banta Unified School District, River Islands High School, league, and CIF policies and procedures. Maintain appropriate equipment, uniforms, and team materials. Assist with program activities, fundraising, and other responsibilities associated with the volleyball program. Perform other coaching-related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or administration. Qualifications: Previous volleyball playing and/or coaching experience is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, knowledge of volleyball fundamentals and rule
