Under the direction of the CalAPS Chief Executive Officer and in collaboration with the Los Angeles Regional Consortium (LARC) K–12 Technical Assistance Provider (TAP), the K–12 Pathway Coordinator plans, coordinates, and supports activities designed to strengthen K–14 Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways throughout the Cerritos Community College District service area. CalAPS serves as the host Local Educational Agency (LEA) for this regional position. The Coordinator will provide services to K–12 LEAs throughout the assigned community college district service area and collaborate with Cerritos College, school districts, high schools, regional partners, workforce development organizations, and industry representatives. Approximately 80% of the position will be dedicated to LARC K–12 Pathway Coordinator responsibilities, with approximately 20% dedicated to CalAPS activities that complement regional pathway development, including student recruitment and outreach, dual enrollment, work-based learning, pre-apprenticeship, and partnership development. The position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple institutions and locations and to develop strong relationships among K–12, community college, industry, workforce, and community partners.
