Job Summary

Role Summary The Intervention Teacher plays a critical role in advancing Voices’ mission to ensure all learners achieve grade-level proficiency and beyond within our dual-language, full-inclusion instructional model. Under the leadership team's supervision, the Intervention Teacher designs and delivers targeted, data-driven literacy instruction for students needing additional academic support. This role emphasizes accelerated learning through explicit, standards-based instruction and developmentally appropriate, language-rich approaches aligned to students’ needs. Intervention Teachers work closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and school leaders to implement cohesive intervention cycles that are responsive to and accountable to student data. The ideal candidate is a reflective practitioner with strong content knowledge, a commitment to bilingualism and biliteracy, and a deep belief that all students can meet high academic expectations when provided with the right support.

Requirements / Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Proficient or Master teacher level if an internal hire CA Credential: Multiple Subject, or if out of state, willingness to pursue a CA Credential Bachelor’s degree required Familiarity with MTSS frameworks, progress monitoring tools, and intervention programs. Demonstrated success providing academic interventions, particularly in literacy. Strong data literacy, including the ability to use multiple data sources to identify student needs, monitor progress, and determine readiness for exit from intervention. Strong knowledge of California Common Core Standards and evidence-based instructional practices. Demonstrated dedication to Voices Academies’ mission and values, with a commitment to public education, equity, social justice, and accelerating academic growth for students from low-income communities. Ability to work independently, have flexibility, and demonstrate success in working with school-age children. Strong oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish, including the ability to communicate effectively in academic, professional, and classroom contexts. Demonstrates strong organizational skills, experience interacting with a broad range of stakeholders, and basic technological proficiency, including logging into platforms, accessing and composing emails, navigating spreadsheets, creating documents and slides, and using QR codes. Works well in a complex and fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Valid bilingual authorization (BCLAD or equivalent, BCC, ELD, or LDS, etc.) Reading and Literacy Added Authorization or, Reading and Literacy Leadership Specialist Credential Bachelor’s degree required Knowledge of and experience working with low-income communities. Understanding of dual immersion instructional practices and school design, first and second language acquisition, and the unique characteristics of public charter schools in California. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
