Requirements / Qualifications

Under the direction of an assigned administrator, organize and direct the fiscal activities and operations of an assigned office; perform financial, budgetary, and accounting functions; plan, organize, and participate in responsible and technical fiscal record management, audit and reporting functions, and activities; perform specialized accounting, internal auditing and external auditing, and monitoring of accounting and financial reporting systems; train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel; perform related work as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business management, or closely related field and five years of responsible accounting, auditing, and financial record management and reporting experience, including some experience with California school accounting practices. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license. Incumbents must be insurable by the liability carrier for the Madera County Superintendent of Schools. CASBO CBO Certification preferred.
