Calaveras Unified School District provides quality education programs for students in TK/Kindergarten thru Grade 12, including Career Technical Education (CTE), preschool and after school services. 150 teachers, principals and other administrators have the responsibility of providing sound educational programs and services to approximately 3,000 students with over 200 classified personnel providing support services. Calaveras Unified comprises five elementary sites in the communities of West Point, Mokelumne Hill, San Andreas, Valley Springs and Jenny Lind. Toyon Middle school, located between Valley Springs and San Andreas, services students in 6th - 8th grade. Calaveras High School, in San Andreas serves students in grades 9 through12 and includes an independent study program. Our alternative education programs are served through Gold Strike High School and Sierra Hills Education Center, in the community of San Andreas.

Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Must meet all California Education Code, CIF, CIF Sac-Joaquin Section, and District requirements for interscholastic athletic coaches. • Completion of an approved coaching education program meeting California/CIF requirements, or ability to complete the required program within the timeframe permitted by CIF. • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification and completion of required Concussion, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and Heat Illness training. • Ability to obtain all required District employment clearances, including fingerprint/background clearance. • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, CIF, CIF Sac-Joaquin Section, USA Cheer/STUNT, league, and District rules and safety requirements applicable to STUNT. • Ability to safely teach, supervise, and progress student-athletes in skills required for STUNT competition. Preferred Qualifications: Previous coaching or competitive experience in STUNT, competitive cheer, gymnastics, tumbling, or a related activity; previous high school coaching experience; current USA Cheer STUNT Coach Membership and/or Safety & Risk Management certification; and familiarity with CIF/USA Cheer STUNT rules and competition procedures.
