Job Summary

My Village School is a private specialized school in West Hills offering individualized instruction and very small-group instruction of up to three students. Our school setting and approach are different from a traditional school. We are looking for caring, patient, and dependable professionals who genuinely enjoy working with children, want to make a meaningful difference in a student's life, and are willing to think outside the box, work creatively and collaborate as part of a supportive team. We are looking for someone who cares about students, is patient and supportive, and wants to be part of a team that works differently. The right person is willing to be flexible, think creatively, and help each student succeed in a way that is meaningful for that individual child. Provide school-based OT services based on students' IEP needs and supervise the MVS Occupational Therapy Assistant. Develop and oversee appropriate treatment plans, review OTA services and documentation, and provide required supervision and on-site observation. Monitor student progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP/student-team meetings as needed. Collaborate with teachers and related-service providers to support functional participation, fine-motor skills, regulation, organization, self-care, and other assigned IEP needs. Formal district evaluations are not a core responsibility of this position.

Qualified and willing to supervise a licensed OTA in accordance with California requirements. School-based or pediatric OT experience preferred. Patient, flexible, collaborative, and interested in using creative, functional approaches with students.
