Job Summary

Director of Business & Operational Services The Director of Business & Operational Services provides leadership and oversight for the operational systems that allow the school to function safely, efficiently, and effectively. This position ensures that day-to-day operations, financial processes, facilities, student services, staffing systems, and schoolwide events are well coordinated and aligned with organizational policies and priorities. The Director of Operations works closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to build sustainable systems that support students, staff, families, and the Board of Directors. Key Responsibilities Operations & Schoolwide Systems * Oversee the daily operational functions of the school. * Develop, implement, monitor, and continuously improve schoolwide operational policies, procedures, and systems. * Ensure operational practices are consistently implemented across the organization. * Coordinate student arrival, dismissal, and schoolwide transition systems to promote safety, efficiency, and appropriate supervision. * Identify operational challenges and develop systems for resolving them proactively. Budget, Finance, Purchasing & Invoicing * Support the Executive Director in the development, monitoring, and management of the school budget. * Manage purchasing processes, including purchase requests, approvals, orders, documentation, and vendor coordination. * Oversee invoicing, accounts payable documentation, reimbursements, and financial recordkeeping. * Monitor expenditures and support adherence to approved budgets and internal financial controls. * Maintain organized documentation for audits, reporting, and Board review. * Coordinate with external financial and business-service providers as needed.
