The instructor will teach assigned sections of High School Introduction to Worship Arts and Worship Arts. Introduction to Worship Arts develops foundational musical skills for students interested in joining the Worship Arts class. Students receive beginning instruction in their selected instruments, participate in Bible-based reading and discussion, and may perform during chapel as their skills develop. Worship Arts develops the musical and leadership skills of intermediate-level students who lead worship during weekly chapels and student retreats. Students also receive Bible credit through assigned reading and class discussions. Additional responsibilities include: Planning and delivering organized, engaging, Christ-centered instruction Establishing clear learning objectives and maintaining a respectful classroom environment Leading sectional and full-group rehearsals Preparing students for chapels, retreats, and other performances Assigning and monitoring student equipment and instrument responsibilities Evaluating student progress and providing timely feedback Maintaining accurate grades, attendance, progress reports, and other required records Communicating with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators Participating in department meetings, school meetings, professional development, and assigned school events Providing appropriate academic support, mentorship, and advocacy for students Performing other duties as assigned The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. The position may require lifting up to 25 pounds, moving throughout the campus, attending rehearsals and performances, and assisting students during emergency procedures. This is a part-time, exempt position. Salary Range: $15,000–$20,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and assigned teaching load. Benefit eligibility is based on the number of assigned teaching periods. Teachers assigned four or more periods may be eligible for benefits in accordance with school policy.
