Job Summary
Under the direction of the site administrator and/or designated supervisor, the Esports Coach is responsible for developing, organizing, and supervising the school's competitive Esports program. The coach will provide students with a safe, inclusive, and positive environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, communication, leadership, problem-solving, digital citizenship, and responsible use of technology. The Esports Coach will organize practices and competitions, supervise participating students, coordinate with school personnel and league representatives, and support students in maintaining appropriate academic and behavioral expectations while participating in the program.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Experience participating in, coaching, mentoring, or supporting an Esports or competitive gaming program preferred. • Experience working with middle school and/or high school students preferred. • Knowledge of computer technology and Esports platforms. • Ability to effectively supervise students and maintain a safe and positive environment. • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include after-school practices and competitions. • Possession of or ability to obtain required district certifications, training, and clearances.
