Job Summary

Job Summary

The Adult Tutor position will serve as the College Ambassador in a dual enrollment course, as the primary mentor and point of consistent support for Multilingual Learner students. This role focuses on building strong relationships, reinforcing college and career readiness content, and guiding students through key milestones such as college applications, financial aid completion, and career exploration. The College Ambassador plays a critical “Tier 2” support role by providing individualized follow-up, ensuring students understand and apply information delivered through workshops, counseling sessions, and external partnerships.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Training Experience: - High school diploma. - Ability to build rapport with, and motivate students, as well as communicate effectively with students and staff. - Tutor training will be provided before placement in a classroom. - Prior experience with tutoring, mentoring, or working with high school students is recommended, but not required.
