The Vacancy: There are two 8 hour, 12 month open positions in the Maintenance, Operations, Facilities, and Transportation Department. The list established from this recruitment will also be used to fill future vacancies and substitute/temporary positions for up to six months. The Position: Under general supervision, to independently perform a variety of semiskilled and skilled duties related to the installation, maintenance, repair, alteration and new construction of District buildings, facilities, grounds and equipment; oversees the work of other maintenance staff on specific tasks and projects; and to perform other job related duties as required.

Required Qualifications: Any combination of training and experience, which would provide the required knowledges and abilities, is qualifying. A typical way to obtain these knowledges and abilities would be: Two years of experience performing duties comparable to those of a Maintenance Worker II in the Covina-Valley Unified School District. Possession of the category of valid California driver's license required, meeting performance requirements of the position as determined by the State Department of Motor Vehicles rules, and the ability to qualify and maintain insurability by the District’s liability insurance carrier’s standard.
