About the Employer

The Orange Unified School District serves approximately 24,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12th and encompasses all or part of the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Orange, Santa Ana and Villa Park. In 1953, the citizens of the area voted to form a “unified” school district, combining the original five elementary districts with the high school district into one unified district, now known as the Orange Unified School District. Requirements / Qualifications

* Completed Edjoin Application * Letter of Introduction addressed to Dr. Sue Singh, Sr. Chief Executive Officer, Student Services, SELPA/Special Education * Current Resume * Three Letters of Recommendation (dated within 2 years of the job posting, with a wet signature) * Transcripts (copy of transcripts - including BA/BS and post BA/BS units/degrees with date conferred/awarded) * Credential Copy (valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential w/EL Authorization, do NOT attach the credential certificate copy - see below for instructions to obtain your detailed credential copy) * Administrative Services Credential (copy of detailed credential required - not certificate) * Possession of a master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Educational Administration, Student Services, Counseling, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Health, or a closely related field that supports the leadership of comprehensive student wellness and behavioral health programs * Five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in education, student services, behavioral health, mental health, counseling, special education, or a closely related field. * A minimum of five years of experience supervising, evaluating, or providing administrative leadership to staff or multidisciplinary teams. * Previous school-site or district-level administrative experience. * Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive behavioral health, mental health, wellness, or student support programs. * Experience administering budgets, grants, contracts, or other fiscal resources related to assigned programs. * Demonstrated knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and professional requirements.
