THIS IS A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT*** General Description: Under the direction of the Campus Administrator, the Interim Resident Substitute Teacher serves in a dual-role certificated assignment providing classroom-based instructional support and campus substitute teaching services during the current school year. The employee is primarily assigned to support a designated classroom, grade level, intervention program, or instructional initiative through small-group instruction, targeted intervention, progress monitoring, and other instructional support activities designed to improve student achievement. In addition, the employee serves as an on-site certificated substitute teacher and may be temporarily reassigned to provide classroom coverage during teacher absences or other staffing needs. Upon completion of substitute coverage assignments, the employee will return to the regularly assigned instructional support role. This is a full-time, exempt position aligned to the Annual School Instructional Calendar. Teachers are expected to report to their assigned campus no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the instructional day, or as otherwise directed by the Campus Administrator. Work hours may vary based on instructional, operational, and school-related needs, and may include meetings, events, or activities outside the standard workday. Occasional local travel to nearby school sites or the Business Office may be required. This is a full-time, exempt, temporary certificated position for the 2026-2027 school year only, aligned to the Annual School Instructional Calendar. This temporary assignment will conclude at the end of the 2026-2027 school year. Continued employment beyond this assignment is not guaranteed. Requirements / Qualifications
Proof of the following: o Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university. o Valid California teaching credential authorizing service in the assigned grade level(s) and/or subject area(s), including a Multiple Subject Credential, Single Subject Credential, Intern Credential, Short-Term Staff Permit (STSP), Provisional Internship Permit (PIP), or other authorization appropriate to the assignment. o Valid English Learner authorization, including CLAD, BCLAD, embedded EL authorization, or other California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)-approved authorization.
