Join the Summerville Elementary School Team! Summerville Elementary School is looking for a Cafeteria Assistant to join the Food Service Team, serving nutritious meals and smiles to students every day. The position works under the supervision of the Cafeteria Manager, and assists and supports the Cafeteria Manager by carrying out delegated assignments in the cafeteria in a safe and sanitary manner. The role is designated to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and other food to students in a courteous customer service-oriented manner. The job also includes organizing and setting up equipment and workstations while performing food services-related duties following all health, food service, government, and other regulations. Requirements / Qualifications
Food Service Certification (Serve Safe) High school diploma or GED. Valid First Aid and CPR
School cafeteria experience or equivalent kitchen experience preferred. Must submit fingerprints, pass clearance, and complete essential work function analysis.

Ability to: Must be able to communicate effectively (written and orally); Must work staggered hours during the workweek to provide expected supervision of custodians; Must be available during emergencies after normal work hours; Must possess and utilize excellent team-building skills; Must accept delegated responsibilities willingly; Must be able to lift seventy-five pounds; Must adapt the personal daily schedule to accommodate abnormal work hours.
