The district is one of the oldest districts in the county, having been founded to serve area students in the late 1800s. Through the years, Banta has remained a small K-8 school district focused on meeting the needs of its diverse student population. As our district evolves we continue to adapt in order to best prepare our students for the future. We are a growing district with the recent opening of a large housing development within our attendance area and the continued interest in Banta Elementary as a school of choice for families. River Islands High School is seeking an enthusiastic and student-centered Swim Coach to lead and support our high school swim program. The successful candidate will promote athletic skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and a positive team culture while ensuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletes. The Swim Coach will plan and conduct practices, supervise student-athletes during practices and competitions, teach proper swimming techniques and conditioning, coordinate meet participation, maintain equipment, and communicate effectively with students, families, school administration, and the Athletic Department. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of competitive swimming, effective coaching practices, and student-athlete safety. Coaching experience is preferred. All required California coaching certifications, CPR/First Aid, fingerprint clearance, and district-required training must be completed prior to beginning the assignment.
