Job Title: Behavior Support Instructional Aide Reports To: Program Manager/School Psychologist General Job Description: The Behavior Support Instructional Aide provides oversight, coaching, and coordination for Behavior Technicians and Special Education (SPED) Aides. This role ensures consistent implementation of behavior plans and instructional strategies, maintains service quality, and serves as a liaison between staff, supervisors, and families. The Behavior Support Instructional Aide supports staff development while also carrying a small caseload of clients/students. Duties and Responsibilities: Work with and mentor the SPED Aides in daily service delivery Ensure accurate and consistent implementation of behavior intervention plans and IEP-related supports Conduct regular observations and provide constructive feedback and coaching Assist with onboarding, training, and competency checks for new staff Collaborate with the BCBA and the special education team/program manager to adjust programming based on data Monitor data collection for accuracy and completeness; address discrepancies Coordinate schedules and coverage for staff assignments Serve as a point of contact for staff concerns, escalation, and problem-solving Maintain compliance with organizational policies, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements Support crisis management and model appropriate intervention strategies when needed Assist individual students in specific problem areas as necessary including but not limited to behavior and social emotional challenges Perform class-related clerical work Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Ability to stand, walk, sit, and transition between positions for extended periods Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and lift up to 25–50 pounds as needed Ability to assist with or implement physical interventions (per training and policy) Ability to respond quickly to behavioral situations, including moving safely in various environme
