Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalent and experience working with children in an organized setting. - Completion of 12 units in Early Childhood Education within the first year of employment. - Valid Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification. (Please note: Only in-person or hybrid CPR/First Aid courses will be approved.) - Compliance with SB792 Required Immunizations (Tdap, MMR, and Flu vaccine). (Note: These immunizations are not required at the time of application but must be completed during onboarding.) SELECTION PROCESS: - Applications will be screened to ensure completeness and that minimum qualifications are met. - Qualified candidates will be invited to an online written exam scheduled for October 9-11, 2026. - Candidates must score 70% or higher on both exams to be placed on a district-wide eligibility list. - The eligibility list will remain valid for one year and may be used to fill substitute positions. - The top three ranks of candidates will be referred for site interviews. Additional interviews will be conducted in rank order as vacancies arise.
