San Rafael City Schools has a variety of Special Education Instructional Assistant roles at different grade levels. Most positions range from 4 to 6 hours per day. The pay range is between $24.67 to $36.08, with initial salary placement based on experience and subject to the terms of the CSEA collective bargaining agreement. All positions that are more than 4 hours per day are eligible for PERS retirement and comprehensive benefit plans. Some school sites may have extra hours available for Campus Supervision for those who prefer more hours. Current openings are at Venetia Valley TK-8 School, Glenwood Elementary, and the Early Learning Center, though locations can be changed based on current needs.  These positions require at least 48 units of college credit, or passage of an exam given by the District. Exams are given on Mondays and Tuesdays. Candidates may schedule an exam by contacting Chanelle Chen at cchen@srcs.org.
