Job Summary
The Long-Term Substitute Music Teacher will provide music instruction for students in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade during the regular music teacher’s absence. The teacher will create a positive, engaging, and Christ-centered learning environment in which students develop musical skills, creativity, confidence, and an appreciation for music. The position includes responsibility for regular music curriculum and instruction, as well as preparation and coordination related to Ascension Lutheran School’s Christmas production and spring musical.
Requirements / Qualifications
Experience teaching music, preferably in an elementary and/or middle school setting. ? Strong musical knowledge and performance skills. ? Ability to teach students across a wide range of ages and musical abilities. ? Strong classroom management and organizational skills. ? Ability to create engaging lessons that encourage participation and confidence. ? Experience directing or assisting with school productions, musicals, or similar performances is highly desirable. ? A heart for working with children and a commitment to the mission and values of Ascension Lutheran School. ? Bachelor's degree in music, education, or a related field preferred, but relevant experience and musical expertise will be considered.
