Position: Part-time Extended Care Aide Position A part-time extended care aide position includes responsibilities such as leading small groups, assisting students with homework, and leading small-group activities during our after-school extended day program. We seek candidates with enthusiasm, respect, integrity, understanding, and patience as an Extended Care Aide. An Extended Care Aide is expected to meet all staff goals, guidelines, and duties, which Include, but are not limited to: Monitor and assist students in groups to support program activities. Prepare and distribute snacks to the children.Lead games, art projects, and small quiet groups.Supervise and assist students during homework time.Comply with security procedures, including attendance, pick-up, and emergency procedures to ensure the children’s safety. Actively maintain a clean and organized site.Assist children with problem-solving skills.Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and coworkers. Certification in child First Aid and CPR is helpful. Certification can be obtained once hired. Work Schedule: Mondays 1:30 PM- 6:00 PM Tuesdays-Thursdays 2:30 PM- 6:00 PM Fridays 2:30 PM- 5:00 PM Occasional half-day schedule, if available: 11:30 AM- 6:00 PM Salary: $24-$26/hour
