Job Summary
This position provides prevention and early intervention behavioral health services for children and youth in schools, as well as community-based settings, and school-linked programs. Services may include wellness promotion, care coordination, behavioral health education, emotional regulation support, adaptive skill development, screening support, crisis referral, program development, training, data collection, and collaboration with families, school personnel, community agencies, and behavioral health providers. This position provides services to students, families, school personnel, and community partners in school-based and school-linked settings. See Job Description for more information. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: > Receive certification as Wellness Coach or Registered Certified Wellness Coach through the California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI). > One of the two pathways listed below. > Educational Pathway: > Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited California college or university in the past 10 years, with major in Social Work, Health and Human Services, Addiction Studies, Child Development or Psychology; and ? Field experience consisting of a minimum of 800 hours through any combination of hours from field practicum in degree, internship hours, or work experience > Workforce Pathway (both bullets required): > Bachelor’s degree in any major from any accredited college in the U.S. > 2,700 hours work and/or volunteer experience providing services in relevant fields to meet certification requirements. This position is part of the Classified Employee Unit at MCUSD/MCOE and will be placed depending on experience on the Classified Employee Salary schedule on Range 25.

The Mariposa County Unified School District is located in Mariposa County and serves grades K-12. With approximately 1,700 students, the area consists of several necessary small schools, K-8 schools, and one comprehensive high school. Mariposa County has several rural communities that surround Yosemite National Park and are centrally located in California to provide a day's drive to old-growth forests, deserts, coastal communities, and cities. The area is suited for those interested in outdoor activities and rural community life.
