Management & Leadership: This is a hands-on management position responsible for leading, supervising, and ensuring the successful operation of a large School Age Program serving more than 700 students each day across multiple school sites. The Supervisor provides leadership to a large team of Program Leaders and Program Instructors, prioritizing the physical and emotional safety and well-being of all students and staff, and is responsible for recruiting, selecting, supervising, developing, and evaluating staff. Multi-Site Program & Operational Oversight: Provides oversight of a comprehensive range of programs for students in Jumpstart through 6th grade, including before and after-school childcare, school break and summer programs, enrichment programs, academic clubs, and band. The position requires regular travel between District locations, site visits, observations, and active involvement in daily program operations to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance. Fast-Paced, Collaborative Administrative Environment: This position operates in a busy, fast-paced administrative office where members of the CDC administrative team collaborate to ensure the successful oversight and daily operations of all CDC programs. The Supervisor must be able to manage competing priorities, respond to frequent interruptions and changing program needs, communicate effectively, problem-solve in real time, and work as part of a highly collaborative leadership team. Staffing, Required Ratios & Daily Program Coverage: The Supervisor is ultimately responsible for ensuring that required student-to-staff ratios and adequate staffing are maintained at all School Age Program sites each day. This includes maintaining staffing schedules, coordinating substitute coverage, and responding to last-minute staff absences. Because call-outs may occur outside of regular work hours, the Supervisor is expected to respond to staffing needs after hours and secure necessary coverage for the following day. When substitute coverage cannot be secured, the Supervisor will be required to provide direct program coverage in conjunction with the Director of CDC. This can include reporting to a program site as early as 7:00 a.m. the following morning to ensure appropriate staffing and required ratios are maintained. Management-Level Schedule, Flexibility & Availability: This position requires the flexibility and availability expected of a management role. While there is an expectation of being on-site during core hours of approximately 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., work hours will vary based on operational needs and may begin earlier or extend later depending on the day. The Supervisor is also expected to be available outside of regular work hours when needed and to adjust their schedule for urgent staffing or program matters, staff training, meetings, special events, and other program needs.
